Our client is one of the largest banking groups in the UK, with operations in investment banking, trading, retail and commercial banking. Due to a major restructure and an increased focus on profitability analysis within their private banking arm, they are looking to hire a Head of Financial Planning and Analysis to take ownership of the budgeting and forecasting process for the business.
Reporting to the Head of Finance Business Partnering, you will operate in a stand alone role, and will be responsible for the oversight and delivery of the annual budgets and ongoing forecasts for the business, and in addition, there will be significant focus on developing a more robust planning process. You will also face off to the Executive committee and senior stakeholders both within finance and the wider business, effectively communicating key drivers and movements within the forecasts and budget.
The successful candidate will be an accountant (preferably qualified but QBE also considered) with significant planning and budgeting experience gained within a bank or financial services company,a strong track record in business planning and the ability to critically appraise a process and project manage. You will also need A1 Modelling skills to provide insightful analysis to help in the wider strategic objectives of the firm.
