Job Description
My client, a leading bank in the city has an immediate requirement for a Commercial project accountant to join their Commercial Finance Team.
Your main focus as part of this highly exposed team will be to develop a value for money deal between the relevant bank and its suppliers, reporting on financials as well as providing commercial and financial support to key programmes within group operations.
As part of your key accountabilities you will be responsible for the following:
Providing month end reporting and forecasting support.
Managing variances to budget and communicating those to senior management.
Providing each program manager with individual support on project forecasting and cost review and assessment.
Attending program meetings - weekly team meetings, weekly risk and issues, and other program meetings
Undertaking financial evaluations and commercial reviews in support of contract negotiations/renewals including cost/benefit analysis, sensitivity analysis, pricing, payment and funding reviews, advice on management information required from supplier to assist in managing contract, general financial advice.
The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified accountant, who is presentable, confident, and will have strong stakeholder management skills. You will have 2-4 years experience gained in a banking and financial services or a highly commercial organisation.
