Job Description
To work within a Private Hospital in Central London, excellent package and benefits available.My client requires a Orthopaedic Team Leader, who is RGN qualified, to work within their team on days - salary circa £32 - 36k. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:Registered Nurse Level 1Minimum of 2 years experience within the Operating Department primarily Orthopaedic experience DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:Mentoring/Teaching & Assessing in Clinical Practice or ENB 998or equivalent Post registration Qualification in Operating Department NursingManagement and/or leadership qualification or ability to demonstrate effective skills through equivalent experienceJOB SUMMARY1.Participate and contribute in the direct delivery of a high standard of patient care within the Operating Department.2.Effectively communicate and co-operate with all wards and departments within the hospital.JOB ROLEProfessional1.To be aware of and comply with the NMC Code, EC Directives and NICE guidelines. 2.To be aware of and comply with the hospital\'s policies and procedures.3.To be aware of current trends and developments maintaining professional awareness of new procedures and terminology.4.To liase and co-operate with the wards, other departments and personnel.5.To assist in the orientation of new members of staff.6.To participate in designated Committees/Working Parties within the hospital as required.Clinical1.To provide a continuity of patient care within the Operating Department by assessing, planning, delivering and evaluating individual patient\'s needs.2.To act as 1st Assistant to the Surgeon if competent/trained in that field of surgery.3.To assist the Theatre Clinical Co-Ordinator/ Sisters and to act up in their absence as and when required4.To perform Operating Department duties safely at all times in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.5.To participate in the control and prevention of infection using hospital policies and procedures.6.To provide safe, evidence based practice at all times.7.To maintain professional confidentiality and to ensure that all documentation is completed accurately and legibly.8.To keep up to date with Consultants\' Guidelines/preferences and follow instructions given.If you would like to know more about the role, please ring and ask for Lisa.
